There are many popular job positions and those industries that are hiring will differ depending on the economy and other factors. You can find job positions directly from companies or in the classifieds. Each job position will include recommended experience and recommended skills for each position. You need to make sure you fit the qualifications for each job position as hirers will immediately reject your application if your do not meet the specified guidelines.
If you are interested in hospitality job positions then you need to determine which ones as there are many different types of position in the hospitality category. There are banquet servers, cocktail servers, waiters and waitresses, food and beverage servers, car hops, room service waiters, dietary aides, line chefs, executive chefs, fry/grill cook, back line cook, pastry bakers, sauciers, banquet cooks, bartenders, dish washers, caf? baristas and more. There are alos aooccomodation job positions, cleaning job positions, and travel job positions. Each one of these positions will require its own skills and some positions need no experience while others may require an extensive background of experience.
In 2009 some of the hottest jobs are in telecommuting, self-employment and small businesses, finance, infrastructure, energy positions, green jobs, education, engineering, computing, medical services and nursing. A brand new field that will be very popular in the future is in green positions and renewable energy sources. Certain industries will always need more people but new marketplaces provide the opportunity for new skills to be used.
Green job positions are actually poised to be the fastest growing job industry over the course of the next few years as more industries are honing in on the environment and ways to become for eco-friendly. These types of jobs can be broken into two forms, one that is like a consultant that comes in to reduce a companies human environment impact while other green jobs will be found at environment-friendly companies trying to improve the workings within their company.
Education positions are not as effected as many other industries by recession as there is always the need form educators. Colleges and universities are always on the look out for qualified teachers and with the economic down turn m ore student are staying in school or entering graduate programs. Teachers are also needed for the younger school levels as well as at universities.
The healthcare is always a huge industry looking for qualified workers, particularly for medical services. Elderly care is very important and throughout the industry you will not have a problem finding the position you desire. Medical technicians need to have some very specialized training but once this is achieved then there are many available positions.
The technology industry has experienced big booms and it is still going strong. Software engineers are in particular demand though this industry will eventually level off. Engineering positions have the highest salaries of most industries. However technology positions will even out one day as the demand will decrease. There are many great technology companies that are coming out with some fantastic new technology.
